Women of Wakanda Summit is a woman empowerment event released in honor of the Black Panther movie by Chaste and Roxanne of Sanicle. This episode talks about all of the things about tech, entrepreneurship, media, mental health, and women empowerment.

I was honored to be a part of it as a Women of Wakanda Summit Panelist Speaker, event strategist and co producer.

Women of Wakanda Summit Media Panel was moderated by Pamela D Marshall of At the Wellness Network and had Adedayo Fashanu CEO and founder of TantTV (The African network TV), Lia World Traveler and Funmi Eko as panelists. We all talked about adversity in media, what our life had been like in the media, and why we chose media.

Welcome to another livestream episode of listen, I didn't like I'm trying something new here and we're just gonna go with it. So this is streaming on social media so the Black Panther movie, actually, I think I said yes to being a speaker for the woman of a kindness summit that women have a kind of Summit was based off of the theme of the movie, what kind of forever and having that be a part of that production? We're debating it with another postdoc a moment for me because I have had experience with event production. Not only add my own, like wedding, not only my own when I was a leader within one organization, but I've actually put together especially a few African themed events. One of them was a an event called hatred or it's an annual event that we get every November I think that Day is coming up in November, but to commemorate those who wrap their hair and have different styles of wrapping, we had an event for that. And then I had an in person event for the operation Crossroads advocacy kit. I was the one that ended up spearheading it, and then I had my, my ultimate for the sea life different podcast. I wanted to bring my, my previous guest and some of my favorite people, my favorite woman together to commemorate the silicon podcast. And then I wanted to also commemorate the fact that I made it because not many people make it one year. So that was amazing. So I started to say of I was a speaker first and then I was a co producer. So it went from me just saying yes sir. Let me be a speaker. The power of networking, but also it went for me. Also. Seeing okay, how can I bring more clarity and more ease and productivity do this and so that was really my zone of genius. My goal was making it a bit more easier on the back end. So if you watch the recording search for more minimal kinda on YouTube, it looks seamless. There was a lot happening behind the scenes and I'm grateful to have had that experience with my own Summit. have that experience through my training and development in Landmark worldwide and I truly am I don't mean it at all I had to do with support the agenda and keeping the flow of things. So that also how did I get back to the engagement that was the power of networking. I am a member, free member of a group called board for culture. If you have heard of books magazine, they have a community for the coaches. The bipoc the diaspora, and decent however you want to call it. They have a specific group of powerful people like us to network and meet and be a part of each other's events. That's how I became a speaker for that.

So this was a full circle moment to me because I had already declared it out into the world that I wanted to speak. I want to be an internationally known speaker. I'm more than just a photographer but using my photography. I was able to see things differently when it comes to maintaining my love and ability to stay organized and tell stories. So now being able to proudly add the event our event production services. I would just do it like I've just been doing it just to do it before this but I'm proud to say we're gonna reinvent production Genesis essentially hadn't had my own summit having a podcast three years ago, the 100th episode. You get to keep keep listening to this like different podcasts that are my brain moving on to another topic. Keep listening to this eubacterium Podcast. Thank you for listening to the synaptic impact. I reached 10,000 streams or download or listen however you categorize it. But I took a six month hiatus I did I took a six month hiatus. You know, I started to see what was not working well for me. It was fine. It's fun to interact with other amazing women. And a lot of the amazing women that were getting on my podcast, you can get that by somebody. Right? So it's still a matter of networking and putting out there what it is that you want, right. But when working is back normally as far as I got it really frustrated me where I would have guests and the rest of the branding was not on par. Then nothing aligned with what they say they are who they say they say and I knew that what I needed to have a different level of guests but to I've been using it for for other platforms that how many people really actually know everything that I have been doing really for the last decade.

I had been meant to be an entrepreneur. For over a decade. I'm also glad to be like a second generation entrepreneur from both my mom and my dad. So having had gotten much I've actually gotten lost in it when you're telling me I'm gonna lose a woman so I also love baking so I got my start in entrepreneurship, and selling beanbags before even getting my first $50 from you know, having to institute a photo session. But I've been an entrepreneur for over a decade and I'm a second generation entrepreneur, but also having the Tech Tech abilities right. I was doing online classes before everyone else would do an online class before everyone else would do them. So there's a difference between being a tech savvy entrepreneur to an organized through individual creative mispricing. And when I've been a cancer survivor, you know so yeah,

So we wear white because we wear white because, um, you know, there were a couple of things, you know, I went to every emotion watching movie, every emotion. They said it's important because we aren't actually leaving. Fortunately, historically, we were like to be black to grieve. And do this, something a new concept. And also being able to dress up I was also meant to continue the event strategy, because they were the movie community met. So that was amazing to be at the competitive people and just opened my African outfit. I think the alphabet show what I bought it online from boy or girl, but I had tried on multiple outfits that I had been the guide from I found when I went to South Africa or when I went to Gambia I have an office of data. I saw it for the first time because it's winter over here start switching out my wardrobe but we've made it to where African garb again and, and and for me it was really because, you know, I'm multicultural. I am indigenous and black. I'm doing it and black. So to really see the history from both sides it was really fascinating as well. Yeah, I think

10:15

I would say about a Black Panther movie. You know, you're trying to like I say there's so many names that are now included for music. You know, not only about us supporting creators, you also supporting creators, creative creators, culture history, you know, like creativity. Would not the innovation would not behave that way.

16:07

Okay. And so with that being said, save the date for the see like different Summit. Today, like different Summit is based off of the podcast, it's for women, by women and even more so narrowed it down even more. If you are a man you used to coming to work, you're an entrepreneur, and we're definitely able, whether it's visible or invisible. This is for you to have a community of other creatives. And entrepreneurs who are in a same pathway. Meaning they they write they thought about they speak a podcast, but they utilize any creative creativity, and it's gonna be a one day event. We're gonna dive into all of these all of the things like it starts with your mindset, right? And also start with how you manifest. And then also start with how you get that message out there. How do you tell your story, and then we're going to incorporate a bit more technology and to make things easy, easing clarity, that's what we're aiming for. So save the date. More detail coming soon. Atlanta, Georgia. If you want to be a better one, I guess the best way to do that at Abraham Strategy Session first we're gonna take a look at what's not working, whether you like it, make sure that you have whatever it is that missing gap in your current business, and then you get to be a guest on my podcast. You get to share and utilize the documents you've learned. So that's how we're going to do season six of a podcast and we're gonna stop when we make it 200 episodes. You gotta you got bigger thing to do. And I guess congratulation to me for making it to 250 subscribers on YouTube after taking a hiatus. I think hopefully you'll be back. Now the one thing you got from your conversation is that it's okay to take it. It's okay to deny it. Because it's not going anywhere. Your favorite is still going to be knocking on your door until you take action until you network to be satisfied until you attend to see a different Summit. This has been a another episode of See Life Different. If you want to learn more about working with me, whether that's a clarity call with VIP day.
